for Determination of Hydrogen Sulfide in the range 300 ppm to 9,00%

The Tutwiler method is widely applied to the determination of hydrogen sulfide in gas mixtures for control purposes.

P/nr 457890: Tutwiler Apparatus according to UOP 9-85 for simple field determination of Hydrogen Sulfide in gas mixtures (accurate over 5 grains of H2S per 100 cu ft, i.e. 115 mg/m3.

Mercaptan Sulphur and Carbonyl Sulfide, if present, are determined as Hydrogen Sulfide), by using two titration reagents (standard iodine and starch).

Supplied complete in a carrying case including the 100 ml Tutwiler burette specially designed and graduated for use with high sulphur content gas streams with large diameter tubing connections to reduce clogging when sulphur precipitates out and deposit on the inside of the connectors, two stopcocks, two solution bottles, levelling bottle and removable mounting (ring, clamp and support), but without reagents.

A comprehensive manual for gas analysis is included, describing in detail methods, technics and apparatus to provide the analyst with adequate working knowledge.

Specifically, this will aid in converting grains of H2S (and Mercaptans) into ppm or % of composition.

P/nr 457891: Standard Iodine Reagent, 500 ml, for determination of Hydrogen Sulfide by means of Tutwiler burette according to UOP 9-85.

The required starch solution should be prepared prior to the test, as the shelf life is short.
